New bonds for Lake Tahoe cleanup

Beginning July 1, 2025, Nevada can sell up to $10.5 million in state bonds for Lake Tahoe. The money and any interest go into the Fund to Protect the Lake Tahoe Basin. The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources uses it for forest health and fuels work. It also funds invasive species control, recreation, wildlife habitat, and water quality and stream projects. To fund other activities, the Division of State Lands must get written approval from the Interim Finance Committee before starting.
