Provides an exemption for a portion of a certain parcel of land from selling alcohol within a certain distance from a church

Alcohol license waiver for 1003 Second Avenue

The State Liquor Authority can issue an on‑premises alcohol license for 1003 Second Avenue (Block 1327, Lot 21), first floor and basement, in Manhattan. The license is allowed even though the space is within 200 feet of a school, church, synagogue, or other place of worship. The space must sell food or beverages for people to eat or drink there. The law takes effect immediately. The exemption ends if the parcel is sold or transferred, unless the licensee keeps a lease as part of that deal; then it ends when that lease ends or is not renewed. The Authority must tell the Legislative Bill Drafting Commission if the licensee sells, transfers, ends, or does not renew the lease.
