Nassau property assessment rules extended

The law keeps Nassau County’s current property assessment and appeal rules in place through June 30, 2028. It extends the prior repeal date from June 30, 2026 to June 30, 2028. On June 30, 2028, those county amendments expire and the earlier rules return. On that date, the added words “the year following” in state real property tax law are also removed. The act takes effect now.
