The law counts cannabis as a farm crop when it is grown in line with New York’s Cannabis Law. Growers are covered by the Agriculture and Markets Law like other farmers. They get the same protections, can qualify for related state farm programs, and must follow the same rules. This applies starting January 1, 2024.
