Safety guides for e-bikes and mopeds

The Department of State must post safety guides on its website. It works with state emergency services and the state energy authority. The guides cover lithium-ion and second-use batteries, e-bikes, limited-use motorcycles (mopeds), and other micromobility devices. They include charging tips, safe disposal, and how to prevent and handle battery fires. This law takes effect on the same date as the 2024 state law on battery safety resources.
