Consumer advocate added to energy board

The law adds one new member to the State Energy Planning Board. The Secretary of State must appoint this person from the Utility Intervention Unit in the Consumer Protection Division (Executive Law 94-a). This adds a consumer-focused voice in statewide energy planning and utility issues. The act takes effect immediately.
