The New York Department of Veterans' Services keeps a veterans' jobs website. It links to the U.S. Department of Labor, the New York State Department of Labor, and the New York State Department of Civil Service. The department updates it each year and can provide the information in print. State and local veterans' agencies must also inform and help New York veterans, service members, and their families get job and re-employment services, including the state civil service jobs program for veterans with disabilities. Local offices also help eligible people apply for a discharge upgrade to the discharge upgrade advisory board.
