Franklin County prosecutors can live nearby

Assistant district attorneys for Franklin County no longer must live only in Franklin County. You can hold the job if you live in Franklin County or in a New York county that borders it. This change does not apply to the first or chief assistant district attorney. Other counties still require their assistant district attorneys to live in that county unless another law says otherwise. The law takes effect immediately.
