Liquor license exception for one Middletown business

Effective immediately, New York’s liquor authority may grant a retail liquor license for on-site drinking at one Middletown, Orange County parcel. The law allows licensing within 200 feet of a school, church, synagogue, or other place of worship. The business must sit wholly within the parcel and sell food or drinks for customers to consume there. The parcel is identified by the May 14, 1997 deed recorded in Liber 4570, page 16. Approval is not guaranteed.
