Broader residency options for Croton-on-Hudson's assistant engineer

Croton-on-Hudson's village board can allow its assistant village engineer to live outside the village. The board must approve this exception by resolution. The person must live in Westchester County, a New York county bordering Westchester, or Dutchess County. In other municipalities, people holding these appointed positions must remain local residents unless state law allows otherwise. The law took effect immediately.
