Liquor license exception for one Brooklyn business

Effective immediately, the law creates a liquor license exception for one Brooklyn location near a school or place of worship. The New York State Liquor Authority can issue a license for liquor consumed there despite the usual 200-foot restriction. The premises must fit entirely within the specified 20-by-80-foot property at the northwest corner of Nostrand Avenue and Rutland Road. The business must sell food or drinks for customers to consume there. License approval is not guaranteed.
