Choose marrow donor info at DMV

Beginning January 1, 2028, New York license and non‑driver ID applications include a new choice. You can say yes to share your first and last name, date of birth, email, and address with the national marrow donor program. Sharing happens only if you consent. This lets the program send you information about how to enroll as a volunteer donor.

DMV referral to marrow registry

Beginning January 1, 2028, if you consent, the DMV refers your limited info to the national marrow donor program so you can get enrollment details. The DMV also adds a public website link to information about the registry. State agencies can set the needed rules now so this is ready by the start date.
