Workers protected for accommodation requests

The law makes it illegal to retaliate against you for asking for a reasonable accommodation at work. It also bans sharing your personnel file to punish you for complaining, helping in a case, or asking for an accommodation. Employers may share your file only to make or answer a legal complaint, or as allowed in a court or agency case. The law takes effect immediately and applies to actions filed on or after that date.
