The law lets the Town of Bedford assessor accept a late application from the Bedford Hills Fire District for school and property tax exemption for the 2022–2023 roll. It only applies to 332 Bedford Road (Westchester tax map section 60.14, block 5, lot 82). The assessor reviews it as if filed on time and may grant the exemption with Town board approval. If granted, officials may refund taxes, fines, or penalties already paid and cancel any unpaid taxes, interest, or tax liens for that roll. The act takes effect immediately.
