The law requires the EBT phone system to let you lock, unlock, or permanently cancel your card. This helps protect your SNAP or WIC benefits when fraud is suspected. The 2024 EBT law now takes effect one year after it became law, instead of six months. Most of this law takes effect now; the phone options start on the 2024 law’s start date.
