From September 22 to 29, 2025, New York lets certain health pros practice for the Ryder Cup without a NY license. Jobs include physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, dentists, optometrists, physical therapists, massage therapists, chiropractors, EMTs, podiatrists, and athletic trainers. They must be licensed by a foreign government, or licensed and in good standing in another U.S. state or territory. Out-of-state pros must be appointed by the PGA of America for a PGA-sanctioned event. Care is limited to team athletes, coaches, staff, and delegations tied to that foreign government or state who are training or competing in New York. The law takes effect September 22, 2025, and ends September 29, 2025.
