Authorizes certain health care professionals licensed or certified by a foreign government or another state or territory to provide services in the state in connection with the 2025 Ryder Cup; provides for repeal

Temporary health license waivers for Ryder Cup

From September 22 through September 29, 2025, eligible health professionals can provide Ryder Cup-related care in New York without New York licenses or certification. Covered professions are physicians, physician assistants, massage therapists, physical therapists, chiropractors, dentists, optometrists, nurses, nurse practitioners, emergency medical technicians, podiatrists, and athletic trainers. Foreign-government-licensed or certified professionals can serve team athletes, coaches, staff, and delegations from that same government. Professionals licensed or certified in another state or territory must be in good standing and appointed by the PGA of America. Their appointment must cover services at a PGA-sanctioned event in New York. They can serve team athletes, coaches, staff, and delegations from that same state or territory who are registered to train in New York or compete in a PGA-sanctioned New York event. The law takes effect September 22, 2025, and expires and is repealed September 29, 2025. It provides no funding and does not specify who pays for care.
