The law lets the Ramapo assessor accept a late property tax exemption application from Yeshivas Nachlas Sofrim for 66 Highview Road. It covers the 2022–2023 assessment roll, all 2022–2023 school taxes, and all 2022 and 2023 general taxes. The assessor reviews it as if filed on time and may correct the roll with Ramapo Town Board approval if the group qualifies under the charitable-use rule. If the exemption is granted, the local tax authority may refund taxes already paid. It may also cancel any unpaid taxes, fines, penalties, liens, or interest for that roll.
