The law lets the Ramapo assessor accept a late property tax exemption application from Lev Teen Center. It covers the parcel at 161 Viola Road (Rockland tax map 49.10, block 1, lot 7) in Suffern. It applies to the 2022–2023 assessment roll, all 2022–2023 school taxes, and all 2022 and 2023 general taxes. The filing is treated as on time. If the assessor finds the center qualified and the town board approves, the roll can be corrected to grant the exemption. If granted and taxes were paid, the local body may refund payments and cancel any unpaid taxes, fines, penalties, liens, or interest.
