The City of Poughkeepsie keeps its hotel and motel occupancy tax. The authorization now ends and is repealed on August 23, 2029. Hotels and motels in the city must keep collecting the tax from guests. Guests who stay in Poughkeepsie continue to pay this local tax on their stays. The law takes effect immediately and does not change the tax rate.
