Earlier employment certificate applications after felony convictions
In Ohio, a felony conviction or guilty plea can trigger legal limits on jobs or work licenses. If you served time for that offense, you can request an employment qualification certificate one year after release. You no longer have to wait for post-release supervision to end. The certificate can remove some automatic legal barriers, but it does not guarantee a job or license.
