More vehicle operators face criminal charges
Ohio's vehicular homicide and assault laws now cover under-speed vehicles, motorized bicycles, mopeds, motor-driven cycles, scooters, and all-purpose vehicles. This includes people operating these vehicles or taking part in their operation. Charges apply when covered misconduct causes another person's death or serious physical harm. Covered misconduct includes impaired driving, reckless operation, and speeding in properly marked construction zones.
