Oklahoma pharmacy staffing and permit rules

Beginning November 1, 2025, licensed Oklahoma retail pharmacies must have no more than four pharmacy technicians per licensed pharmacist. Support staff can perform pharmacy tasks under State Board of Pharmacy rules. Technicians must first get a Board permit, costing $75 for each one-year period; the Board sets the permit's validity period. Initial and renewal applications must include information the Board requires. Technicians owe a Board-set late fee unless they complete renewal and pay by the 15th day after expiration. Permits are canceled 30 days after expiration. Reinstatement requires an application, a reinstatement fee, and completion of other Board requirements.
