Oregon provides $3 million in General Fund money to the Oregon Health Authority’s Healthy Homes Repair Fund. The money supports housing for seniors and people with disabilities, including installing accessibility changes. Funding covers the two-year budget period beginning July 1, 2025. The law also raises the related spending limit by $3 million so the money can be spent. It does not set a payment amount for each household.
Oregon provides $150,000 in General Fund money for property tax program outreach during the two-year period beginning July 1, 2025. The Department of Revenue must hire a public benefit corporation or consultant to inform groups representing or serving eligible people. These groups can include housing counselors, financial advisers, senior services agencies and community centers. The department must report spending to the Legislature’s interim revenue committees by September 1, 2026. The law funds information about existing programs; it does not change eligibility or directly lower anyone’s taxes.
The law transfers $3.15 million from the Senior Property Tax Deferral Revolving Account to Oregon’s General Fund. The transfer occurs on the law’s effective date in 2025, despite the account’s normal statutory rules. The money is for general government use. This lowers the account balance but does not itself change anyone’s eligibility or property tax deferral terms.
