More housing help for children and families

Oregon expands housing assistance to children, pregnant people, and their families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Eligible children include those from birth to kindergarten age and those enrolled in, or eligible for, kindergarten through grade 12. Funds can support shelters, transitional and supportive housing, emergency housing and utility payments, and companion animal support. The law sets no specific household benefit amount. It takes effect upon passage.
