The law creates a new type of residential treatment home for people ages 17 to 25 with complex behavioral health challenges. The Oregon Health Authority must set up a separate licensing process for these homes. The Authority must also adopt rules that help homes make early transition plans so residents can move to the next setting safely.
This act takes effect on its passage. The Oregon Health Authority can start the new rules and licensing work right away.
