Beginning July 1, 2026, the Oregon Department of Education calculates and posts school attendance metrics. For students enrolled at least 10 days in a period, it reports average daily membership and the share who attend regularly or are chronically absent. The department compiles the data four times per year and posts it online by student group, with clear definitions, any method changes, and guidance on comparisons. Each district and charter school gets at least 15 business days to review and request adjustments before data go public. When 2026–27 starts, the website also explains any method changes compared to 2025–26. The State Board of Education and the department may begin setup work before July 1, 2026 to ensure on-time rollout.
