Bill Overview

Analyzed Economic Effects

2 provisions identified: 0 benefits, 0 costs, 2 mixed.

Law starts 91 days after session

This law takes effect on the 91st day after the 2026 regular session ends. That date controls when the filing requirement above becomes active. This timing rule does not change taxes, fees, or benefits for households.

Secretary must file 2027 campaign finance bill

The Secretary of State must file a draft bill before the 2027 regular session. The draft must recommend changes to campaign donation limits and reporting. It must reflect what Oregon has learned from carrying out the 2024 campaign finance law. If House Bill 4018 is law, the draft must also reflect experience under that 2026 law. This filing rule does not itself change today’s campaign finance limits or reporting for candidates or donors.
