Oregon county and city election officials must post candidate names and offices sought online within five business days after filing. They must post candidacy declarations within two business days after finding candidates eligible. Both posting rules exclude declarations filed by precinct committeeperson candidates. Officials must post withdrawals within two business days after filing. When required information is missing online, anyone can request it from the county or city elections official. Officials must provide it within five business days after receiving the request. Digital copies and inspection at the elections office are free; officials may charge for paper copies. Officials must also immediately date and time-stamp nominating petitions, candidacy declarations, withdrawals, nomination certificates, and other covered election filings. The law takes effect on the 91st day after the Oregon Legislature’s 2025 regular session formally ends.
