Beginning January 1, 2026, the Oregon Health Authority may share medical marijuana registry names, addresses, and other identifying details with counties. Sharing is allowed only when a county seeks to verify site ownership and consent information required by the law. Registry participants do not have to take any action.
Oregon marijuana producer and processor license applicants, and medical grow-site and processing-site registration applicants, must identify the property's legal address and owner. The licensing agency must verify ownership with the county and cancel applications lacking verified ownership or a required owner signature. Nonowners must notify owners in writing and obtain notarized written confirmation of ownership and consent. Owners can limit consent to a set number of annual terms. Producer and processor license renewals need a new owner signature when prior consent has expired. Beginning January 1, 2026, site registration renewals also require a new notarized signature when the applicant or responsible person is not the owner and consent has expired.
Oregon psilocybin manufacturer applicants must list the property's legal address and owner. The Oregon Health Authority must check ownership with the county. Nonowner applicants must notify the owner in writing and obtain notarized written confirmation of ownership and consent. The authority must cancel applications when ownership cannot be verified or the required signature is missing. Owners can limit consent to a set number of annual license terms; expired consent must be renewed with the license. Applicants meeting these requirements are not barred from licensing based on premises ownership.
