Medicaid coverage expands for former foster youth

Oregon provides Medicaid to residents ages 18 through 25 who meet these foster care requirements. You must have been in foster care in any state's custody on your 18th birthday. You must also have been enrolled in Medicaid in Oregon or another state while in foster care. The Oregon Health Authority must seek federal approval to help pay for coverage for eligible youth from other states' foster systems. Federal funding approval is not guaranteed.
