Faster hospital conversion reviews in bankruptcy

The law lets the Attorney General and the Health Department allow a faster initial filing for a hospital conversion. It only applies when a hospital is in court‑supervised insolvency, like bankruptcy, receivership, or a special master. Both agencies must find the fast track will not stop them from meeting all legal review duties. After a qualifying filing is received, the public gets notice and 20 working days to comment. Each agency must decide within 90 days of accepting the application. This option ends one year after the law’s effective date, but filings made by then still use the fast track.
