Bans most deed restrictions on grocery stores

The law voids any deed rule that blocks land from being used for a grocery or supermarket that sells fresh food to go. A temporary restriction is allowed only when all six facts are true: the seller used the old store within 6 months before the deal; the seller already bought land for a new store; the new store is similar in size and products; the new site is within 1/2 mile; it opens within 1 year; and the old-site restriction lasts no more than 18 months. Agreements made before this law took effect still apply. The law takes effect upon passage.
