Set dates for school budget meetings

The law sets the first Foster–Glocester regional school budget meeting for March 24, 2026 at 8:00 p.m. It is at the regional school building, or another place the regional school committee names in public ahead of time. Starting in 2027, the district holds this budget meeting every year on the third Tuesday in March. The district can also call special meetings, but it must follow the state’s town meeting rules.

Who can vote on school budget

You can attend and vote at the regional school district financial meeting if you live in Foster or Glocester and were qualified to vote at your town’s last financial town meeting. Only residents who met that prior town-meeting qualification can vote at the regional budget meeting.
