More detail work for retired police with limits

The law lets retired police take state-funded details through a state agency or its contractor. You can work up to 75 days or 150 half-days each calendar year on those state-funded details. If you pass the cap, pension checks stop for the extra days, and no extra credits or contributions apply. Private details paid by nongovernmental entities are not subject to the 75-day rule. You and the employer must send monthly notice of this work to the retirement board.
