A BILL TO AMEND THE SOUTH CAROLINA CODE OF LAWS BY ADDING SECTION 44-43-15 SO AS TO REQUIRE THAT DONATED BLOOD, OTHER HUMAN TISSUE, OR ORGANS BE TESTED FOR THE PRESENCE OF CERTAIN CONTAMINANTS AND LABELED ACCORDINGLY BEFORE DISTRIBUTION FOR USE IN TRANSFUSIONS OR TRANSPLANTATIONS, TO ALLOW PATIENTS TO DECLINE CONTAMINATED DONATED PRODUCTS WITHOUT PENALTY, TO CREATE A CIVIL PENALTY FOR VIOLATIONS OF THE SECTION, TO PROVIDE LIMITED IMMUNITY, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
