Regular meetings and clearer quorum for child reviews

The committee meets at least once every quarter. A quorum is a majority of appointed and qualified members, not counting the senator and the representative or their designees. These rules take effect May 18, 2026.

Child review committee adds member, fixes terms

The child death review committee now includes the Executive Director of the Commission for Community Advancement and Engagement. Members named by job title (items 1–16) can name a designee from their own agency who works on child and family services. The Governor appoints the other members to four-year terms; they may be reappointed and serve until successors qualify. A member cannot serve more than 180 days past the end of their term. These rules take effect May 18, 2026.
