Celina holds an at-large election on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, for a mayor and five aldermen to four-year terms. County election officials run it at the same hours and places as Tennessee general elections. The city board now includes the mayor plus five aldermen and holds the city’s lawmaking powers. Passing any motion, resolution, or ordinance now needs a majority of the board, not just two votes. These changes take effect for general purposes only after a two-thirds (2/3) local approval that is proclaimed and certified to the Tennessee Secretary of State; the law is already in effect only to allow that approval vote.
