New license and safety rules for Reelfoot Lake guides

The law creates a special waterfowl guide license for Reelfoot Lake in Lake and Obion Counties. Paid hunting, fishing, or trapping helpers are now defined as guides and must hold a state guide license. The Tennessee Fish and Wildlife Commission issues these licenses and sets rules through the state rulemaking process. Rules must require proof you know Reelfoot Lake and its hazards; testing steps and any fees are set by rule. This law is in effect now.
