Bill Overview

Analyzed Economic Effects

2 provisions identified: 0 benefits, 0 costs, 2 mixed.

Small, rare payments not child support

The law says tiny or rare payments do not count as support. This applies during pregnancy or when the mother had custody. "Token financial support" means perfunctory, infrequent, or very brief payments that are minimal or insubstantial. Courts and agencies treat these as not support for those periods. This rule is in effect now.

Parents must consent before child vaccines

Health care providers must get informed consent before vaccinating a minor. Consent must come from a parent, legal guardian, or a prospective adoptive parent. Providers must record the consent and keep proof in the child’s medical record. Without this consent, providers cannot vaccinate the minor. This rule is in effect now.
