Task force to end child hunger

The law creates the Tennessee Task Force to End Childhood Hunger. It has 14 unpaid members led by the human services commissioner and must meet at least every three months, starting by July 1, 2025. The task force builds a plan to increase affordable, high-quality food for kids, coordinate TANF, SNAP, and summer meals, partner with nonprofits, and fix EBT theft and fraud problems. It must send findings, a full plan, and any bill ideas to the General Assembly by July 1, 2026, then it ends. This advisory group does not change SNAP or TANF benefits today.
