Utility management keeps dedicated interest income
The law took effect upon becoming law. Interest from investments and deposits under Tennessee Code § 64-9-107(a) goes into a separate account for utility-system management. This money cannot return to Tennessee's general fund and must carry forward each fiscal year. This dedicated funding rule ends June 30, 2029.
