Paid bereavement leave for Tennessee state workers

The law gives paid bereavement leave to Tennessee state officers and employees covered by Tenn. Code § 8-30-102(a), (b)(2)-(11), and (b)(13). You get 3 paid days when your sibling, grandparent, grandchild, foster parent, or parent-in-law dies. You get 5 paid days when your parent or stepparent dies, and when your spouse, child, or stepchild dies. The law also grants 10 paid days for another listed death event in the statute. Leave is paid and applies per qualifying death.
