On June 30, 2034, Tennessee ends its role in the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact. Doctors lose the faster path to get licenses in multiple states through the compact. Cross‑state telemedicine and travel care may be harder after that date.
On June 30, 2034, any Tennessee department, board, agency, commission, or council created in 2032 ends. The state can continue, reestablish, or restructure a terminated entity by following the chapter’s rules. The law is now in effect, and the 2034 date applies unless an entity is continued.
