Virginia posts health and food insecurity data

The Virginia Department of Health collects and studies data on race, ethnicity, age, gender, and other social factors. It posts the results and analyses on its website. The Department does not publish personal health or other confidential information. As part of the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS), it also measures food insecurity using a validated tool and posts those results online. This gives communities and service groups better facts to plan health and food help.
