Special plates for Virginia REALTORS and CPAs

DMV issues special plates to members of Virginia REALTORS and the Society of Certified Public Accountants. You must apply and show written proof of membership. This option is limited to qualifying members.

Virginia REALTORS plate: $25 yearly fee

Members of Virginia REALTORS can get a special DMV plate. You must be a member and apply with proof. You pay an extra $25 each year, on top of normal DMV fees. After the first 1,000 plates, $15 of each $25 for plates above that goes to a state relief fund. That money is paid each year to the Virginia REALTORS Disaster Relief Fund to help Virginia areas after disasters. Other related fees go to a DMV fund to cover DMV costs. Plates issued before July 1, 2026 stay valid until they expire and can then be renewed under this law.
