Virginia joins multi-state voter roll system

The law requires the Commissioner of Elections to apply to the Electronic Registration Information Center (ERIC). After ERIC accepts Virginia, the Commissioner must sign the membership agreement and pay any required fees. The state must keep its ERIC membership in good standing. This fulfills Virginia’s legal requirement to participate in ERIC. The law does not set a fee amount or a start date.
