Wisconsin job seekers gain easier program access

Wisconsin’s Transform Milwaukee Jobs and Transitional Jobs programs offer temporary wage subsidies without requiring four weeks of unemployment. You must either not have filed for unemployment benefits or have filed and be ineligible for them. Unchanged rules require household income below 150% of the federal poverty line and an age of at least 18. If you are over 25, you must also be a parent or primary relative caregiver of a child under 18. You must not participate in Wisconsin Works employment and must meet applicable substance abuse screening, testing, and treatment requirements.
