You can apply to the state board to get back EMS tuition and material costs. This covers training at a Wisconsin technical college. Employers can apply if they paid these costs for an employee. To qualify, you must finish the required course and meet DHS rules. If seeking licensure, pass the exam and get your initial license. If seeking responder certification, get certified by DHS. Use the board’s application form. The law does not set a dollar amount.
The Department of Military Affairs may run a pilot that gives grants to 911 centers. The grants let callers share live video and other media with 911 staff. The department must report results by October 15, 2027. No report is required in a year with no pilot grants.
The Technical College System Board gives grants to technical colleges that run EMS courses. The grants help train new responders and EMS practitioners. A college cannot get a grant in any year it gives district-based admission priority. The law does not set a dollar amount.
