Wisconsin expands who can skip the $130 fee for filing a limited liability company's (LLC's) articles of organization. Newly eligible students attend Wisconsin public, private, or tribal high schools, or qualifying home-based private education programs. Students at Wisconsin postsecondary schools remain eligible. All LLC members or all organizers must qualify as student entrepreneurs: at least 18 and members or organizers of a business start-up. The law takes effect on the first day of the second month after publication and covers filings from that date forward.
