More trades training at schools, match required

The law updates Wisconsin's technical education equipment grants. Schools that get a grant can build or upgrade training space, buy tools and equipment, and get software and instructor training for construction and advanced manufacturing. To receive a grant, the recipient must provide matching funds at least equal to the grant; the match can be cash or the value of equipment, software, tools, or other in-kind items. Students and instructors at funded programs get better gear and classes, but recipients must cover the match, which can raise local costs.
