Schools gain more uses for training grants
Wisconsin school districts can use technical education grants to build, renovate, or improve facilities for construction-related and advanced manufacturing training. Grants can also buy tools, equipment, software, and related materials used in those fields. They can pay for training that instructors and students need to use the tools and equipment.
School grants require matching support, allow donations
Wisconsin technical education grant recipients must secure matching support worth at least as much as the grant money they receive. The match can include money or the dollar value of donated software, tools, equipment, and other noncash support. Someone other than the grant recipient can provide the match.
